Piotr Sołtysik

BIOGRAPHY

A student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of Prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just and assistant Adam Goździewski. He completed his bachelor's degree under the guidance of Dr. Konrad Skolarski. He is a graduate of the State Music School Complex No. 4 in Warsaw, in the class of Wilia Ochocka-Janusz. Earlier, he also trained under Dr. Grzegorz Skrobiński.

The pianist maintains an active concert career. He has collaborated with, among others, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, Polish Radio, and the National Centre for Culture. He has performed in Poland and abroad, including at the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce, the Romanian National Opera, the Synagogue in Győr, and Fryderyk Chopin's Birthplace. He has performed with the orchestras of the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, the State Music School Complex No. 4 in Warsaw, and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, under the direction of eminent conductors such as Ruben Silva, Czesław Grabowski, and Wojciech Pławner. In 2024 he made his debut in the Chamber Hall of the Steingraeber-Haus in Bayreuth.

He is a prize winner at numerous competitions, including in Riga, Warsaw, and Kraków. In 2021 he took first place at the M. Moszkowski International Piano Competition in Kielce. In 2025 he received a distinction at the K. Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź. He is also a laureate of the International Chopin Festival in Mazovia.

He has honed his skills in lessons with outstanding artists such as Yulianna Avdeeva, Sofya Gulyak, Janusz Olejniczak, Pavel Gililov, and Arie Vardi.

Piotr Sołtysik is also a composer. His works have been performed at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Nowy Świat Muzyki, the Interior Museum in Otwock Wielki, and the Ballroom of the Old Spa House in Krynica-Zdrój.

Thanks to his artistic achievements, he has twice been named a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Since 2023 he has been under the patronage of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
